May 2013

May was a fun month of family stuff. We told our families we were pregnant after reaching the 10 week mark (The farthest we had made it since being pregnant with Paxton). We also went to Goblin Valley for the Steiner reunion where everyone came for part of it, and went to Lagoon to see Fuzz dance in her clogging competition for the last time. And when we got back from Goblin Valley, my whole family, minus Derek, was together. Lizzy and her family came from Michigan for 2 weeks and we all got to meet sweet Shad finally, and see how big Luke had gotten. We also had Kimberly and her family here-which is when my nephew Braden (9 years old) fell out of my parent's pine tree in the front yard and lacerated his liver and got a buckle fracture in his pelvis. He ended up in the ICU at Primary Children's for a night, but luckily got released from the hospital after only 1 and 1/2 days there. He recovered quickly but had to take it easy all summer long. Poor guy was in a lot of pain after falling. He fell like 25 to 30 feet. Luckily it wasn't as bad as it could have been! :)
We like making our child look ridiculous. haha.

Paxton has learned how to turn on the oven light and loves to just watch things bake. It's cute.

Fuzz performing at Lagoon. She is behind the sweeper in a jean shirt and black hat. They did a dance routine where it was like a "stomp" routine and they made the music with different cleaning objects and banging. It was really, really cool to watch. :)

Their whole team dancing.

Between numbers we decided to try out a ride with Pax. It started out well, and he seemed interested and excited

But that sure didn't last long when he started getting sprayed with water..haha

Then we watched Fuzz's 2nd routine. She is the one on the far left in this picture-posing. :)

Second one from the left.

It was a captivating number. :) We loved getting to watch her dance again since it had been a while.

Paxton ended up loving every ride after that. We even went back and did that water ride again MANY times because he loved it so much.

Some were more fun than others...

SUPER messy after dinner. :)

At Goblin Valley. He LOVED it.

We went and did the narrows down there, at Little Wild Horse Canyon. It was fun!

He LOVES his daddy, and LOVES pulling his hair. Plus, they were matching. :)

The only sign of life out there

Pax tripped and hit his head on the fire pit, that wasn't being used. It swelled super fast in a straight line and bled a little bit. It was a bad week for Pax. A few days earlier on Memorial Day we were at my parent's house for a BBQ and a plastic chair he was standing on fell backward and he hit his front teeth on the patio and chipped them. Luckily, that is all that happened, besides a lot of bleeding and crying, and they haven't fallen out.

Can see the swelling better here.
