He's getting chunky :)

Okay, well, our lives consist of Paxton and school. Oh, and trying to sleep. So to capture our lives in pictures...here it is:

They gave him this hat our last night in the hospital and insisted we bring it home. So, now we use it in the morning since it's FREEZING...he looks hilarious in it. :)

I love babies/toddlers in overalls. I'm SO happy they finally fit. :)

Just me and my best bud :)

Trev wanted a picture. He loves when Pax puts his arm around him like that. :)

The most handsome baby...I think

Trev does "tummy time" with Paxton every night. He even has a song that he sings about it. Haha. Paxton fell asleep. Haha. Trev was disappointed. I just laughed..a lot.

Luckily, he woke up (for Trev's sake). But Trev is hilarious when he does tummy time. He gets really intense into cheering Pax on and trying to get him to lift his head up. He reminds me of the refs at wrestling matches, when they get down on their stomach and are watching every move.

He's starting to smile a lot, but it's hard to capture on camera. I got these two shots while doing homework. I didn't realize he was going to do a FULL smile right after I took the second one, dang it.

Here are me and Pax doing my homework. I never shower until I have to. So I look gross, but whatever. He's cute :)

Pax will be staring at you right in the eyes and you think he's wide awake and adorable and then he suddenly does this. Haha. On campus, everytime someone passes our campout spot in the conference center he is doing this. He's a crowd pleaser. :) Oh...and notice his growing double chin. He is starting to pack on the pounds haha

Truly, he's SO cute. :)

I usually pull Pax into bed with us for the last hour before we get up. He is adorable and SO cuddly. :)
But since school can't be put into pictures, here is the latest news. Trev graduates in less than a month now. Woot. We are still waiting to hear back from the rest of the PA schools that he has applied to. It's now down to 3 schools in California and 4 in Pennsylvania. So we'll see.

And me? I just found out I can graduate in July!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To say I'm stoked is an understatement. It's going to be a long and hard and busy and crazy 2 semesters, but I'm ready. So I'll be taking 16 credits of family classes this next semester and hopefully my last 2 credit religion class. Then in Spring I will be taking my practicum which is like unto a mini internship, my internship which I will hopefully be doing at the local foster care agency, and a research methods class and one online class and I will be done!!!! :) That's the hoping! I might have to do my religion and last online class online in the fall, but yep! I'm excited and hopeful! :)
That's all! P.s. I sure wish my sisters and sister-in-laws would post more often...just sayin....:)

Steiner Reunion, Labor Day 2011

So I forgot to blog about Trev's immediate family reunion. We went to Red Fish Lake/Alturas Lake, which are a little bit past Sun Valley, ID. It was a lot of fun going for two nights to a girls camp, where we stayed in a cabin. The downside? Mice. Gross.

Hence why Kylie and I stayed on the table for the first 3 hours we were there, while waiting for the rest of the family to get there....(My face is my version of rebelling against Trevor telling us to smile...)

But anyways, before we got there, we passed through Arco, ID. One of the smallest towns I've ever seen. I honestly don't know where the people live...but here is their main street....
And the side of the street we are on? Oh, just some war memorial things and the sweetest mountain...

This is the top part of a submarine...

A missile...with some sort of slouching creature in front. Embarrassing.

Luckily, Kylie's ancestors (or grandparents) come from here and so she knew what this mountain was all about. Every year the graduating class goes and paints their year on there. Cool.
So we got there, and it was fun. I forgot to take pictures of the BEAUTIFUL mountains and lakes with my camera..they are on Trev's camera which is currently broken. But here are some pics from the internet. It's much prettier in real life, but whatever. They are FREEZING cold though...no swimming took place because of it.
Alturas Lake

Red Fish Lake
Why is it Red Fish Lake? Because every fall, the Sockeye Salmon do their spawning here. They travel from the ocean and all over for the big event. Anyways, that's all we wanted to see were the salmon, which turn bright red when spawning and they get humps. Anyways, we looked and looked, and finally found some. VERY cool.

They aren't the best pictures, but it really was cool to see them.

And of course, Trev fished at every and any time he could. This is the tiny fish he caught by the cabin in water that was about 2 inches deep.
And after a VERY restless night the first night at the cabin, because I could hear the mouse eating stuff, and had seen it in every room of the cabin (I have never had to sleep in the same room as a mouse knowingly..it was hard), we captured it just before bed the second night. Thank goodness. Trev and I were seriously considering sleeping in the van because I couldn't handle it.

Yeah, gross. But still we were victorious.

And what is a post from us unless we show you the latest in spiders that have entered our apartment...:)
What is that you may wonder....just the close relative to the turantula. :) No...we can't figure out what kind of spider it is. Last time we got our spider coming through the crack between the door and door frame it was that big but definitely a hobo spider. They love us. But it was gigantic and luckily Trev saw it come in. Gross. And yep, Trev made me spray this one, just like he did the other one. What did he do? He climbed onto the counter...again. Haha. (But in his defense, I had shoes on and he didn't.)

Welp, that's all folks...until we post our many pictures of Paxton..again. :)

Here he is again....

I thought it was funny he pulled his arms up in his sleeves...it was cold I guess

This is a REALLY good picture of what he looks like in real life

He always does this one eye open thing..haha

Haha. His angry face

He's just cute...

Working on homework at home...he looks super cute in this :)

Him and his hot dad! :) Trev helps out a ton. He was rocking him to sleep while I talked to my mother on the phone. :)

For some reason he is ALWAYS doing this in his swing. We have no idea what he is looking at.

He hates bathtime..

I just think he looks funny in this one

He is ALWAYS crinkling his forehead. It's adorable.
So this is our cutie! :) We love him lots. He is a very good baby (besides at night...:)), which we really appreciate since we are both going to school full time. We have been super blessed with him and with our schoolwork since he has come. We are still getting a hold of this new life, but we love every minute of it. Sorry there are so many pictures, but he's cute and my family doesn't get to see him this little in real life. :)
