Last Saturday, April 4th, our sweet Haddie came to join our family finally. We are so grateful she came safely and healthy as can be. We are already totally and completely in love with her and are so grateful she is in our family, for forever! :)
For those who care, she was 19.5" long and weighed a whopping 7 lbs. 3 oz. She had the cord around her neck twice, and took a while to come out due to her facing the wrong direction for most of my labor. But thanks to my amazing nurse who got her to turn, she came the right direction.
And now, here are lots of pictures of Hadelyn Rosemary Steiner, aka: Haddie Paddie or Paddie cakes. :)

| Right after they cleaned her up a little, they handed her back to me before our skin to skin time. (Can I just say how much I hate having so many things attached to my arms so I feel like I can't move? Yep, don't like it, at all.) |
| Trevor holding her for the first time after getting cleaned up. |

I finally got to my room after getting cleaned up and our kids came to visit. :) A big shout out to my in-laws for coming to watch our kids while I had the baby and was in the hospital. It helped out a TON. Paxton is so funny with Haddie. He's always calling her sweetie and telling us all one by one that we aren't a sweetie, but that Haddie is. :) |
| Our first (clear) picture of our family of five. :) |
| Phoebe was confused. hahah. But has been WAY more interested in Haddie than we thought she would be. |
| We love our cute Phoebe. |
| Between conference sessions on Sunday, they came to visit again and Paxton couldn't stop kissing his baby. |
| Since our parents' visits overlapped on Monday night after her birth, we blessed her at 2 days old so that at least all the grandparents were there for it. Thanks to our Bishop and his wife for coming on short notice. :) This is the same dress that PB wore. My mom made it to look like my wedding dress. It's beautiful. :) |
| Phoebe is surprised every time she sees that the baby is in a room and still at our house. You can always tell when she sees the baby because she says this surpised "Oh!" and then proceeds to go look at her as close as she can. It's super cute. :) Every morning she tries her hardest to look at Haddie in her bed. |
| She loves her baby and soon to be best friend. :) |
| Our sweet Haddie in the hospital with the bunny that our nurse gave to her for being an Easter baby. Like I said, we had an awesome delivery nurse. :) |
| She loves sucking on her one finger. |
| She looks a lot like both Paxton and Phoebe as newborns. She looked A LOT like Phoebe when she was first born, and that mixed with not being used to having another daughter, I kept calling her Phoebe. haha. |
| She has quite a bit of hair (not tons) and it's a light brown/gold. She has blonde eyebrows and eyelashes, so it will be interesting to see what she looks like in a year. :) Especially since neither one of us was or is blonde... |
| She is SUPER hairy (with soft blonde hair) all over her back and arms. It's SO cute but hard to see. |
We sure love our little Haddie girl and are so glad that Trevor had the last week off so we could spend time as a family! :) (Thank goodness for Passover and going to a Jewish school so he had this whole week off!) And a big thanks to our parents for coming and helping the adjustment go better with meals and company. :) We love our cute kids. :)
I just love this post. I always called my new baby my youngest one's name. I don't know why, it just threw me every time. She is so sweet- I can't wait to hold her! (In fact, if you wanted to drop her off for a month, I'd love it haha)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't see where my last post went through. Kaylee, we are so proud of you and you have a beautiful new daughter. Thanks for letting us come down. I love the photos you took.
ReplyDeleteMom and dad Steiner
I'm so happy you posted!! What a little sweetie (just Haddie, no one else haha Paxton). I love love love the little detail photos you put in too. She is adorable! I hope it's been a good adjustment and you've had help! You sure make cute babies:))
ReplyDeleteShe's a cutie! So glad you posted. I wonder if you're still singing praises to your nurse now that you might be wearing adult diapers ;)
ReplyDeleteDon't you love all the pictures people take of you in the hospital? They're all sitting around, fully dressed, smiling, while you sit there in your bed like the grandparents on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Kaylee!
ReplyDeleteOkay your comment on my blog made me sooo happy. Your family is darling (especially this little one!), and you make a beautiful mamma and wife! I tried to find you on instagram but couldn't! Mine is @rachaelaubrey. So good to hear from you. <3
